Studio Core v. 4.10.0 changelog
Version release date: 2025-01-29
Changes
New knowledge graph notification
When Studio automatically checks, shortly after start up, if a new version of the Studio Core plugin is available, it now also checks if any new version of the knowledge graph plus disambiguator bundle is available in the Web repository.
If yes, a notification is displayed with clickable links that bring to a dialog with directions to adopt the new bundle in the current project or allow the user to suppress the notification of that new version.
If the user decides to adopt the new version, Studio suggests what to do based on the "distance" between the version number of the existing bundle and that of the new one.
If version numbers differ only in the patch number, the user is directed to just update the knowledge graph libraries, which affects the disambiguator, but leaves the knowledge graph as it is, thus preserving any customization.
If instead the minor or the major version numbers differ, the user should replace the whole bundle to avoid conflicts between a much newer disambiguator and the relatively old knowledge graph. Replacing the knowledge graph means losing any customization.
The notification pop-up disappears after a while, but it gets preserved in the Notifications tool window.
