Analyze and interpret results

The experiment results appear in the Experiments tab, made of two sub-tabs:

  • Statistics to view your experiment statistics.
  • Activity log to check logs.

Statistics

The Statistics sub-tab shows the experiment results. On the top left you can see general information about the experiment, like:

  • Experiment name
  • Author
  • Experiment date and time
  • The number of analyzed documents
  • The number of documents with annotations and categories.
  • The library name.
  • The ML model type.
  • The match strategy, namely the criteria employed to match annotations and detected categories.

Hover over the experiment name and select the pencil icon to edit the experiment name.

Results coverage

Watch the Results coverage panel to see the number of documents with categories and the number of resources employed for the annotation with their percentages.

Top and worst categories

Check the Top categories and the Worst categories sub-panels to view the most and least frequent categories in terms of hits.

Documents

The Documents sub-panel lists in a table mode all the documents with their number of categories.

It is possible to filter the list of documents by clicking Only documents with extractions according to your needs.

  • Select the expanding arrow to see the categories that occur in the text.

  • Select the collapsing arrow to collapse the document.

  • Hover over a document and select Annotate document to open the document in detail view and start annotating it.
  • Select the N. of categories column header to sort the documents according to the number of categories.

Resources

The Resources sub-panel shows on the left side the annotated categories with the number of their hits, while on the right side the project taxonomy under Resource details.

Categories

  • Hover over a category and select Show in resources to view it in the Resources tab.
  • Hover over a category and select the information icon for information about the category, like the number of annotations or the broader category, if any.

You can sort the categories according to their hits by selecting the N. of hits column header.

Note

Select a category to highlight it in the taxonomy under Resource details.

Taxonomy

The taxonomy shows for each category the total number of hits and the true and false positives.

  • Hover over a broader category and select:
    • Expand node to expand its nodes.
    • Collapse node to collapse its nodes.

Or:

  • Select a broader category and select:
    • Expand node to expand its nodes.
    • Collapse node to collapse its nodes.

Or:

  • Select the expanding arrow or the collapsing one to expand and collapse a category nodes.

Note

The same actions can be applied by selecting or hovering over Taxonomy to totally expand and collapse the taxonomy.
