Export a runtime package

It may be required that a remote runtime operates disconnected from the complete installation of NL Flow. In this case, you can use the NL Flow Web application to create runtime packages containing everything needed to create and publish workflows with an operation performed directly on the runtime cluster.
Obviously, this way, all the advantages in terms of workflow management that the Web application offers are lost, but it may be the only possibility under certain security constraints.

To create a runtime package, use the export function, which creates one or more items to export and finally creates and downloads a ZIP file, which must then be installed on the runtime cluster.

  1. In the Runtimes view of the dashboard, select Export. A dialog appears.
  2. To create an export item:

    1. Select the mode in which the workflows must be published in the runtime, choosing between synchronous and asynchronous.
    2. Select the workflows to export. To filter the list of workflows, type something in the search box and press Enter: only workflows whose name contains what you typed will remain in the list. To cancel the filter, select the X icon in the search box or delete the text you typed and press Enter.
    3. Select Next.
If you had chosen the asynchronous mode:

      1. Specify the retry policy for all the workflows previously selected.
      2. Select Next.
      3. Select the autoscaling parameters for all the workflows previously selected.
      4. Select Next.
    4. Select one or more API keys that you want to associate with the workflows once published. Also in this case, as for the workflows (see above), you can filter the list based on the name of the key.

    5. Select Next.
    6. After defining the first export item, specify the name of the ZIP file to create, without the .zip extension, which is added automatically.
    7. To proceed with the export, select Export; if instead you want to add items to the package select Add item and proceed as from point 2 above, "To create an export item".

In each step of the procedure you can return to the previous step by selecting Back.
