Manage layout annotations

The Layout tab (only for Enterprise Edition) of the Annotation tool window shows the layout annotations of an output file generated by the expert.ai document understanding technology (also known as Extract).

To make it available in Studio:

  1. Put the generated JSON file in the document folder of your project, for example consider the file filename.json.

  2. Select the JSON file then Prepare Selection in the context menu and you can find as a result three new files in the project structure:

    • a filename.ann file in the ann folder.
    • a filename.lay file in the ann folder.
    • a filename.txt file in the test folder.

To populate the tab, open the filename.txt file in the editing area.

It is possible to display the resulting filename.txt file in the Document Layout Viewer.
