Get information about models

Browse models and get summary information

The list of all available models, with summary information about each of them, can be found in the Models view of the dashboard.

Model lists can also be found in the workflow editor:

  • When adding a model block to a workflow, the list of models of that type is displayed so that the user can choose the model.
  • When editing a model block, the model associated with the block is a functional parameter and can be changed by editing the block properties and choosing from the list of models of the same type .
  • The most recently used models in workflow design are listed in the My Models bar to the right of the editor.

The rest of this article refers to the information about models you can get in the Models view of the dashboard.

  • To toggle the display of only uploaded models, check or uncheck Uploaded at the top of the list.

    Info

All models but those which were published from the authoring application are considered as uploaded.

  • See the most recently added models in the Recently added models strip, where model information is displayed in cards.

  • To switch between table view and card view select Show card view and Show table view on the area's toolbar.
  • To change the sorting criteria of the list in table view, select the column headers that have, next to the name, the arrow—visible or shown when hovering over the name—which indicates the sorting direction.
  • To change the sorting criteria of the list in card view choose from the drop-down list above the first card.
  • To switch between the list of all models and the list of your models, select All models and Your models at the top left of the list.
  • To filter the list based on the name of the model, type in the search box at the top of the list and press Enter. Only models with matching names will be listed. The match is case insensitive. Select the X icon inside the search box or clear the box and press Enter to remove the filter.

The information shown for each model is:

  • Name
  • Number of published workflows using the model as a block. In table view this information is under the Workflows on column, while in card view is inside the Workflows on blue cloud icon1.
  • Number of unpublished workflows using the model as a block. In table view this information is under the Workflows off column, while in card view is inside the Workflows off gray cloud icon1.
  • Author
  • Source, which is Uploaded for all but the models that have been published from the authoring application
  • Type
  • Upload date and time

Get global statistics

Select no or more than one model from the list to display overall statistics in the right panel. Statistics are:

  • Total number of models in the inventory
  • Model type distribution
  • Number of models uploaded by you

Get detail model information

To have detail information about a model, select it from the list. This information is displayed in the right panel:

  • Name
  • Type
  • Upload date and time
  • Author

If the model is used as a block in one or more workflows, also the list of those workflows is displayed. Displayed information is described in the article about getting workflows' information. From the top, you'll find the number and the list of published workflows then the number and the list of unpublished workflows.
If the list is long, select +# Workflows below the list to see all the workflows, then select Show less to restore the original display.

Under Resources:

  • The Info tab shows the supported language and detailed info on the technological components on which the model is based.
  • The Classes tab is present for models that perform information extraction. It lists the classes of information that the model can extract.
Classes are divided into groups. Next to the name of each group is the number of classes it contains.

    • To collapse and expand a group select the arrow icon to the left of the group name.
  • The Taxonomy tab is present for models that perform categorization. It shows the category tree.

    • To expand and collapse tree nodes:

      • Use the arrows to the left of the node name.

      Or:

      • Select Expand node or Collapse node to the right of the category name.
  • The Structure tab is present if the model contains the definition of sections or segments.
The definition of sections can imply that the model is able to accept and exploit—for the purpose of categorization or extraction—an input text divided into sections.
The definition of segments indicates that the model has segmentation rules by which it can detect segments of text with specific features and use them as the scope of the categorization or extraction rules.
Input sections and detected segments can also be part of the model output.

  • To filter the contents of the Classes, Taxonomy and Structure tabs, type one or more characters in the search box inside the tab and press Enter. To cancel the filter select the X icon inside the box or clear the box and press Enter.

An alternative way to get information about the resources of a model is available when you have the diagram of a workflow inside the editor:

  • Right-click the model's block and select Show resources on the context menu.

  1. The icons inside the cards are not shown if the model is not used in any workflow.
