Check the analytics of documents

Overview

In the Documents analytics view, it is possible to find a set of indicators regarding the library in use and its status and to filter the documents based on their features.

Display the Analytics page

Select Analytics to display the analytics of documents.

Check the languages and the document count

To check the languages status and the document count, watch Languages in the left panel.

Check the coverage

To check the coverage status, watch the left panel, and use the go on and go back browsing arrows to display the panel of interest.

You can find:

  • n Classes: classes count (n), that is the resources total count.
  • Extracted class: resulting classes after experiments.
  • Annotated class: manually annotated classes.
  • Extracted documents: document count with resulting classes after experiments.
  • Annotated documents: document count with manually annotated classes.
  • Validated documents: validated documents count.

Check the main topics

To check the main topics status, watch the left panel and use the go on and go back browsing arrows to display the panel of interest.

You can find a graph and a list of the main topics of the project library.

Double-click one of the topics or a chart slice to perform a search.

Filter annotated documents, documents containing resulting categories after the experiments and validated documents

In the Coverage panel on the left, it is possible to filter documents.

  • To Filter the annotated documents, double-click Annotated documents.
  • To Filter the resulting classes after the experiments, double-click Extracted documents.
  • To Filter the validated documents, double-click Validated documents.

The resulting documents are displayed in the Relevant documents panel, Resources tab and in the Documents preview list on the right side.

Note

You can also double-click the corresponding colored lines on the chart to apply filters.

Check the top and worst classes

To check the top and worst classes, watch the upper part of the Resources tab.

  • Use the expand and collapse arrows to show more or less details.
  • Select Extractions and/or Annotations to display the resulting classes after experiments and/or the manually annotated classes.
  • Select the ALL chip to view all classes, or select single chips to watch single classes.
  • Deselect the single chip to view all classes again.
  • Hover over the orange line to know the number of extractions.
  • Hover over the violet line to know the number of annotations.
  • Double-click the orange and the violet lines to apply filters.

Check the relevant documents

To check the relevant documents, watch the lower part of the Resources tab.

On the left you can see the documents that contain the highest number of resulting classes after the experiments, while on the left you can see the documents that have no resulting classes after the experiments.

  • Use the expand and collapse arrows to show more or less details.
  • Select Extractions or Annotations to display the resulting classes after experiments or the manually annotated classes.
  • Select Most annotated, Not annotated, (when the Annotations box is checked) Most extracted, Not extracted (when the Extractions box is checked) to apply filters.
  • To show a specific document, select it in the lists.

The selected document is displayed in the Documents tab, detail view.

Document preview list

  • To display or hide the Documents preview list, select Expand or Collapse on the right side.
  • To filter documents based on their annotations, extractions, validations and classes, select Filters .
  • To open a document in detail view:

    • Double-click it.

    Or:

    • Select its name.
    • To sort documents based on relevance and other sorting items, select the respective dropdown menu.
    • To filter documents based on language, select the language dropdown menu.

Display main relevant terms, main entities and main syncons

To display the most relevant terms, select the Disambiguator tab.

Filter documents based on Most relevant terms, Main entities and Main syncons

To filter documents based on main relevant terms, main entities and main syncons, double-click the related items of your interest.

Example

If you want to filter the documents that contain the value soy sauce as Most relevant terms and Sichuan as Main entities:

  1. Double-click soy sauce in the Most relevant terms panel
  2. Double-click Sichuan in the Main entities panel.

The related chips are displayed in the search bar.

You can click a single entity of the Main syncon labels panel to enlarge its box and view the inner entities inside a syncon.
