contexts and taxonomies output

contexts and taxonomies and their child resources return information on the contexts available for document analysis and the taxonomies available for document classification respectively.

See the format of the resource endpoints on page.

contexts

The contexts resource and the more specific resources with the same root like contexts/standard return a JSON object like this:

{
    "contexts": {
        "standard": {
            "description": "Standard",
            "languages": [
                {
                    "description": "English",
                    "name": "en"
                },
                {
                    "description": "German",
                    "name": "de"
                },
                {
                    "description": "Spanish",
                    "name": "es"
                },
                {
                    "description": "French",
                    "name": "fr"
                },
                {
                    "description": "Italian",
                    "name": "it"
                }
            ]
        }
    }
}

The outermost object contains one object for each context.
In the case of a more specific resource like contexts/standard, there is only the object corresponding to the context specified in the endpoint. The name of the individual object is the name of the context.

Within the object that represents a context, the description property is the description of the context while the languages property is the list of the languages the context supports.
For each language, the description property is the English name and the name property is the ISO 639-1 language code.

taxonomies

The taxonomies resource and the more specific resources with the same root like taxonomies/iptc return a JSON object like this:

{
    "taxonomies": {
        "iptc": {
            "description": "IPTC Media Topics",
            "languages": [
                {
                    "description": "English",
                    "name": "en"
                },
                {
                    "description": "German",
                    "name": "de"
                },
                {
                    "description": "Spanish",
                    "name": "es"
                },
                {
                    "description": "French",
                    "name": "fr"
                },
                {
                    "description": "Italian",
                    "name": "it"
                }
            ]
        }
    }
}

The outermost object contains one object for each taxonomy.
In the case of a more specific resource like taxonomies/iptc there is only the object corresponding to the taxonomy specified in the endpoint. The name of the individual object is the name of the taxonomy.

Within the object that represents a taxonomy, the description property is the description of the taxonomy while the languages property is the list of the languages the taxonomy supports.
For each language, the description property is the English name and the name property is the ISO 639-1 language code.
